  2.   I-PLAY 3D SOCCER ---------------------------------------------- SIMULMONDO

  5.   Yet another football game to  grace  the  Amiga,  what's the point when we
  6.   have KickOff 2 you all cry.. well actually this one isn't bad at all - and
  7.   it's Italian, proving that  other  things  do  come  from Italy apart from
  8.   Opera Singers, Pizzas, Ice Cream and Fiats.

  10.   The game is played in a first-person perspective and unlike other games it
  11.   claims to be a simulator -  you  play  one  player (wherever you wish) and
  12.   it's your job to run around the pitch to get into the proper positions.

  14.   Initially it's quite confusing due to the rather strange implementation of
  15.   the game and the hectic pace of the  game.  Once you get into the swing of
  16.   things it gets much better  and  some  fairly convincing play takes place.
  17.   There's the full range of  soccer  things  to  do, including headers, free
  18.   kicks, throw ins, penalties and such  like  - even a pre-match zoom around
  19.   the pitch!

  21.   The graphics are fast but not particularly well animated but they work ok,
  22.   the 3D is fast too and as a whole it works quite well. Sound is limited to
  23.   basic sounds although there's a nice piece of music when loading.

  25.   Summary: I-PLAY Soccer manages  to  achieve  it's "Simulation" objective -
  26.   but only just, it still looks and feels arcade-ish and I still don't think
  27.   Kick Off 2 has anything to worry about.  That said it's a good game from a
  28.   new name, SIMULMONDO  sounds  like  something  those  bloody awful Turtles
  29.   might say!

  34.   Sound          50%  Only average, nice music.
  35.   Gameplay       80%  Initially confusing but rewarding after a time.
  36.   Overall        75%  Cleverly done and well worth a look.
